Will of Robert Hardisty of Prince Georges County, MD In the name of God Amen I Robert Hardesty of Prince Georges County Stateof Maryland being very sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind andmemory thanks be given to God calling unto mind the Mortality of my bodyand knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make andOrdain thi my las Will ad Testament that is to say principally and firstof all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God thatgave it and my Body I recommend to the earth to be Buried in descntChristian Burial nothing doubting but at General resurrection I shallreceive the same again by the mighty power of God and a touching suchworldly Effects weherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in thisLife I give devise and disppose of the same as follows, First I give andbequeth to Elizabeth Hardisty my dearly beloved wife all my HouseholdGoods and Effects during her Life then to be equally divided among myChildren, Secondly I give to my Son Reazin' Hardisty my young SorrellMare and my working Tools and my wareing Apparel to be divided betweeenhim and my son Robert Hardesty also I give and bequeath to my son RobertHardisty my Gun my Shoe & Knee Buckles both their Legacies to be clear ofa Child's part and I do hereby disallow revoke and Disannul all and everyother Testaments, Wills, Legacies, Requests by me in anyways before namedwilled and bequeathed Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be mylas Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I hereunto set my had & sealthis Twenty fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousandseven hundred and ninety Robt Hardisty Signed Sealed pronounced and declared by the said Robert Hardisty as hislast will and Testament in the presents of us who in his presence and inthe presence of each other have hereto Subscribed our names WilliamRuglass William Higgins John Turner At the foot of which will was thus written to wit, Prince Georges County to wit, 16th May 1790. Then came William Ruglassand William Higgins two of the Subscribing witnesses to the within Willand Testament of Robert Hardisty late of said County deceased and madeOath on the Holy Evangels of Almight God that they did see RobertHardisty the Testator in this will named sign and seal this will andheard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will andTestament. THat at the time of his so doing he was to the best of theirAporehensions of sound and disposing mind Memory and understanding andthat they did see John Turner the other witness subscribe his name aswitness to this will in his presence at this request and in the presenceof each other.
