[Innis.FTW] Belgrave was the 4th son of Paul Ninnis. He joined the Royal Navy in1861, and rose to become Inspector Surgeon General. He was naturalistto the Norther n Territory of the Southern Australian SurveyingExpedition of 1864-6. He was also a member of Captain Sir George NaresArctic Expedition 1875-6. He was awarded the Sir Gilbert Blane GoldMedal. He was a CVO (1912), MD, MRCS, LLM, FSA . He was a Knight ofJustice, and held the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. |
